Notes: Part of the Tunbridge Wells Circular walk. No pub so make sure you bring plenty of water.

Route: via seafront, Beachy Head and East Dean. Prompt start on arrival of train please, so as to get to lunch at East Dean before teatime! Quick morning snack at Beachy Head.

Route: Bushey Park – Hampton Court – River Thames & along the riverside. A stroll through Royal Parks

11.5 miles moderate pace THREE steep climbs at the start - gentler easier terrain pm.

Route: Hastings - Firehills – Pett Level - Winchelsea - Look Out - Rye. A cliff top coastal walk after some steep climbs on leaving Hastings Old Town.

Route: via Seaford Head, Exceat Bridge, Seven Sisters, Birling Gap, Beachy Head.
Notes: A fine coastal walk but very strenuous

Sunday 29 August - Earl's Court to Sloane Square – Joint with Richmond Group
6 miles linear - Flat terrain - Easy pace - A short tour of Brompton Cemetery then via Chelsea Harbour to Battersea Park then on to historic Chelsea. Meet Pankhurst, Whistler, Moore (Henry), More (Thomas) plus the man who invented chocolate.

Route: Pump Pond Wood - golf course - Effingham Village - Great Bookham Common
Notes: Not much road - lots of woods - 2 "Lovelace" bridges

5 September - Wood Green to Chingford - for Epping Forest Festival - Joint with Richmond Group
6 miles linear - Slightly undulating terrain - Moderate pace
This annual event features mediaeval activities, woodland crafts, hog roast etc. The nearby Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge will be open with fascinating displays and events. Come and join the fun.

8 miles linear. Undulating (+ 2 short hills) terrain - moderate pace - Epping Forest walk with some nice views - Longish morning with a 15-minute refreshment break if needed. Short (mainly downhill) pm.

Sunday 24 October - 10 Bridges walk from Battersea to Tower Hill - Linear - Joint with Hampstead Group
8 miles - easy pace - Flat terrain

Route: walking over Chelsea Bridge, Vauxhall Bridge, Westminster Bridge, Hungerford Bridge, Waterloo Bridge, Blackfriars Bridge, Millenium Bridge, Southwark Bridge, London Bridge and to Tower Bridge. A fascinating opportunity to see London from the Thames bridges.

Route: East from Headcorn via Summerhill Farm to Boarden Farm (TQ810448). North to Sutton Valence for lunch. After lunch Greensand Way east to Ulcombe Hill, then south to Pye Corner and Mansion House Farm (TQ857477), then southwest via Little Boy Court to Headcorn.
Drop out points: Taxi from Sutton Valence after 5.5 miles.
Food: Lunch at one of the four pubs or picnic nearby.

Notes: The Autumn edition of the bi-annual pilgrimage to The George for a great value Sunday roast with wine (or a pint) thrown in.
Drop out points: A picnic stop in Wanstead. Park for those not partaking of the roast
