Route: Holmwood - Leith Hill woods and HolmwoodAnother chance to go adventuring – lost in the woods on Leith Hill – an anticlockwise circuit with one pull up after another. (Overtrousers useful if vegetation is wet.) On a good day – a great chance to enjoy “a walk with a difference”

Joint with Hampstead RA Group

Description: A long fast paced walk (18 miles) with 5-minute breaks every hour. 18 miles – brisk pace – fairly flat terrain
Route: via Richmond Park and River Thames tow Path. Come out on Boxing Day challenging walk with Clare and Hampstead RA Group – dust the cobwebs away after Christmas – lovely walk – beautiful views on a fine day
Drop out points: possible where there are buses operating
Food: BRING PICNIC – as only 45-minute lunch break. Possible tea stop at end of walk in Richmond to maximise walking in daylight
Start: outside Richmond railway station buses or underground Check with Clare for start time no mainline trains on Boxing Day and other transport starts later on Boxing Day

Route: along the River Wey to Cartbridge and back via 2 small diversions. A countryside walk along the River Wey. We will see Stoke Lock, the oldest lock on the Wey and pass Stoke Mill, the largest of the 3 victorian brick mills on the Wey. We will also pass Sutton Place which was built in 1525 and was once the home of Paul Getty.

Route: Tattenham Corner – Mugswell and Merstham. On a sunny day a short delightful walk – starting inside zone 6 – one very dangerous road crossing – the many undulations and soft mud should ensure only an easy pace – over some stretches a great sense of space above and all around

Notes: A varied and surprisingly rural walk through the Borough of Bromley - great views - very little road walking
